Loughor 29 - Llanybydder 26

Llanybydder travelled to Loughor midweek in a re-arranged League fixture, and again it was a promising performance, with the pack missing some key players due to work and injuries.     Back rowers Ricky Davies and Dion Howells were again prominent ball-carriers, and there was an early try for Steff Richards as he supported a midfield break.    Young lock Josh Jones powered over for the second try from close range , with both converted by fly-half Richards.    Loughor replied with a try from a driving lineout to make the half-time score 14 – 5 to the visitors.

No 8 and captain Ricky Davies took a quick tap penalty to cross for an early score in the 2nd half to extend the lead.  However, the home side was now gaining control of possession and using their large ball carriers to cross the gain line.  They crossed for 3 tries from close range, all converted by fly-half Davies, with Llanybydder replying with a fine try for open-side Dion Howells.  The match was evenly matched at 26 each, when Davies kicked the winning penalty.   There was still time for the visitors to be awarded another penalty, however they opted to kick to touch and subsequently lost the lineout in the Loughor 22 to allow the home side to kick to touch to end the match.
