In their final league match of the season, Llanybydder put in another competitive performance, but in a repeat of recent performances the home side had to settle for another narrow defeat as home skipper Ricky Davies was adjudged to have lost the ball forward as he reached for the try-line in the last move of the match. The visitors had the greater share of possession with an effective line-out, but Llanybydder defended well as a team, and looked dangerous when they had possession . There were 2 early penalties for Steff Richards for the home side as well as a try for centre Bleddyn Jones. There was a further try for 2nd row John Evans, with a conversion for Richards.
The visitors had a try a piece for dangerous centre pairing of Dan Davies and Aled Jones, with wing Josh Watson claiming the crucial winning try. Watson also claimed 2 conversions and a penalty. However, the home coaches will be pleased with recent performances after a difficult early season, and look forward to further challenges in Division 3 next season.
