Whitland 96 - Llanybydder 0

Whitland  96    Llanybydder  0

It was a difficult day at the office as the visitors travelled to Parc LLwyn Ty Gwyn.   Whitland were surprisingly relegated last season , but have re-grouped and demonstrated why they are favourites to be promoted,as the huge gulf emerged between top and bottom of the division emerged.   From kick-off to final whistle, the home team looked to spread play wide, with continual sweeping moves as backs and forwards off-loaded in the tackle to keep play alive.   Outside half and Man of the Match Nico Setaro claimed 36 points as he crossed for 2 tries, orchestrated the backs moves,  and  converted 13 of the 14 tries.     The backs led the way with a hat-trick for wing Liam Price,  a brace for centre Josh Thomas, with further scores for fullback Scott Newton,  centre Alun Howells, and replacements Adam Davies and Jonathan Thomas.      There were also tries for prop Mike Ryan,  flanker Ryan Michael and lock Ben Kirk.

Credit for the outclassed visitors as they battled till the end as every player gave maximum effort.  Next Saturday, Llanybydder have another tough challenge as recently promoted St Clears will visit Parc OJ
