Llanybydder welcomed Llangwm to Parc OJ, and secured a comfortable bonus point victory. After a minute’s silence in memory of Club stalwart Brynmor Morris, the hosts started well and there was an early reward as centre Bleddyn Jones crossed after a fine run. Right wing Ross Holder added a try after he was worked free after a neat move from a scrum. The next try was a fine individual effort from full back Arwel Thomas as he ran from his own half beating several defenders to cross, while another fine backs move led to left wing Luc Evans adding the bonus point try. The visitors replied with a try for No 8 Josh Hicks, as he broke quickly from a scrum and beat several defenders to cross for a fine individual try. Llanybydder replied with further scores for Bleddyn Jones , and skipper Ricky Davies. Llangwm were then awarded a penalty try as home fly-half Steff Richards was deemed to have high tackled a Llangwm player preventing a certain try. Richards received a yellow card, but he had already converted 4 tries to give a half time score of 38 – 12 .
The visitors battled bravely in the second half, but early tries for flankers Aled Tandderi Evans and Bedwyr Davies increased the home lead. The front rows enjoyed an even battle in the scrums, whilst lock John Evans secured clean line-out ball for the home side, and his boiler house partner young Josh Jones was prominent around the pitch. No 8 Davies claimed his second score after a period of pressure, with backs coach Llyr James playing as replacement full-back claimed the final score. 2 conversions by Steff Richards meant a final score of 62 – 12. Credit to young referee Rhodri Morgans who allowed the match to flow at every opportunity, playing advantage where possible. Next Saturday, Llanybydder welcome Cardigan to Parc OJ
